It sounds like hes talking k04 internals in a k03 housing so basically a hybrid k03. It could just be a k04-001 though as it doesnt say he makes it and that is just basically a k03s as already said.

I enquired about this yesterday, this was his reply:

"Hi,
The turbo is not converted to a ko4. It is an original ko4 (ko4-23). with a machined, flowed & polished ko3s turbine housing fitted to it. The compressor has then had a curved aliuminium outlet pipe welded to it so the unit becomes a direct fit for the ko3/ko3s turbos. The spec is identical to the AMO4,**04 etc type turbos.
Both units used had done less than 10,000mls and has not run or been fitted since conversion.
It was bought from the continent. It will fit direct to the Cupra, obviously a larger tip and a remap will be needed. I do not know what other mods are required I sold my car before getting that far."

s3/lcr maf and obviously you would need an intercooler... not sure what else.
if its based on an AM04 you should be seeing 260bhp+ and lots of torque

So whats the difference between starting with a k03, milling out the housing and putting a clipped k04 compressor wheel in it and starting with a k04 taking it to bits and putting its internals into a k03s housing. They end up being exactly the same thing surely! Known basically as a hybrid k03s like jbs04 and am04 but labelled xx04 because they have k04 internals. A hybrid k04 would be a k04 with modified internals milled out etc wouldnt it like some of the LCR guys fitted and had problems with.
