Well whilst fitting new suspension to my cupra i unplugged the abs sensors on the front as not to damage the wires.

Well i kinda forgot to plug the passenger side one in, started the car and got the ABS and Traction Control Lights up. ;)

I soon realised my mistake and pluged it back in, and well the ABS light is still on (TC light has gone off tho)

I tried disconecting the battery for 30mins and it didn't reset the abs, will it just go away eventually, or is there away to reset it?

Cheers

EZT :)

hey u need to put vag com or a diagnostic computer on it to reset it mate or sometimes if u drive it it will perform a self diagnostic. if not leave the battery off overnight and see how that gets on. bout 30ish from a dealer to plug it in and get i reset unless u know some1 in ur area with vagcom.

if i'd actually broken it i'd expect to see both lights on still.

it seems to me the abs ecu has logged a fault, well i'll drive it around and see if it goes off.

out of interest are the ebay vag-com leads any good?

Better than me who forgot to tie back the abs wire after fitting suspension and severed the cable. Not had the wheel off to check exactly what the damage is yet though. I'm busy wondering if it's just a case of joining the wires up again.

Having a drive in it could take the light off as it will register the wheels moving etc and all being well. It will still log a fault in the ABS section on VAG.com though until it is cleared.
