That is actually true!! I cant bring myself to self mine even though i want a new car
I'm on my second MK2, the spendings already started & I'm pretty sure it ain't going to stop any time soon!!

You know what you have a MK2 when :-
1) the abs indicator light has a mind of its own.
2) you sit in the car on a frosty day for 30mins while the heating heats up.
3) the rear light clusters are held together with super glue as the contacts keep pinging off.
4) you replace the jacking point covers more times than the oil per annum.
5) those damn welds on the door sills always rust whatever you do.
6) can never trace that smell of petrol that comes and goes at random.
7) cannot buy spark leads in the uk (aft engine).
8) end up with a small lake in the rear reflector bar on the boot.
9) can never quite get all the radio stations properly through the arial.

you know you have a mk2 when you replace the halogen bulbs with an HID conersion kit and the dials reset every 2nd time you turn your lights on.

You Know You have a Ibiza When you tell somebody, that you have Ibiza and he tells
In Bulgaria we have a joke about the Ibiza model of Seat. In english, doesn't sound so funny, but I'll try to explain what I mean by tranaslating the joke in english. In south bulgarian region, Ibiza [ibisa] sounds like "F**k you" in english.
So the joke:
One Ibiza owner from south bulgarian region meet other car brand owner (Mercedes for example.)
The Ibiza guy says: Do you know what? Yesterday I bought myself an Ibiza. The Merc owner replies: F**k you too, I bough myself a Mercedes.
Here in Bulgaria You Know You have a Ibiza When you tell somebody, that you have Ibiza and he tells you to f**k yourself, and he had a car from any other car brand and model.
