Newbie with some Questions????

HI all,

I have just brought my first Ibiza , and have some ??? .

1. would love to have some white dials, need to be easy to fit, were to get them from??

2. had bass box and amp in my old car and would love to have them in the Ibiza!! can it be fitted??? and how ?

3. would love to get some foglights fitted, how easy is this??

It is a 1.4 S

I am picking it up on Friday, and i can't bloody belive it the car I am p/x the head gasket has just blown and it's just been towed home.

What a crap day!!!!

Hmm not good, will you get the p/x car fixed in time? Any local scrappers likely to have the part?

What age is the Ibiza your getting?? That way we can work out the shape, as they changed alot from a MK2 to a MK3...then to a MK4!

sub an amp isnt to bad to install.link above, white dials are a bit of a biugger to fit.but can be done. foglights are easy enough just need the holes in the bumper to put them in an for them to stay in securly.

Don't know what to do about the p/x, just having a bit of a nervous brake down bout it

On the off chance it's a Fiat Punto P reg 1.2 16v Elx if any one can help me fix it?? (showing classic signs of the head gasket having gone)

get some gasket sealer in there , and fire it into the garage , they wont drive the car , and it should be alright for a couple of hundred miles , cant see any pics as well.

What, for cupra lights maybe but ibiza's did come with standard fog lights too.

Fog lights can be obtained very rarely off ebay, from the dealers they are around £120 for the kit. I recently managed to get a brand new kit from ebay for £36.

Anyway, they fit in the bumper where the towing eye cover is (painted section next to the slats)

With the kit you get two lights, new switch, wiring, clips, plastic bits which need painting etc...

So far i havent fitted mine, the instructions you get with the kits are stupid which makes the wiring very hard.

As said i know at our garage we dont even check the cars over on the ramps when you p/x them they look at outside condition and interior only so like said get some head gasket sealer and just tip it into the coolant bottle and dirve it there on the day you make the change over and if they do drive it say it started to be abit juddery when you were driving down lol

I think i will just keep an eye outon ebay for dials and foglights, and keep them as a future mods.

But the sub and amp will be a more sooner ajustment.

Does anyone have a cheap CD changer for sale, I am looking on ebay at the mo!!!

Got a kenwood 6 disc changer which i dont want anymore, you would need a connecting box but can pick these up pretty cheap

Alrighty B@be (lol) Going back to the white dials, the cupra ones wouldnt be much good as the speed indications would be up the creak. For example itll probly show ur doing 30 when ur actually doing 40!! Im interested in gettin white dials myself, but might have to find a custom maker?? The foglights however are floating around on fleabay, saw some today.
