To buy or not to buy

Hi all,

My current my03 cupra is coming out of its lease next month and I have a buy it price £5200. It's got 90,000 on the clock.

Should I buy it do you think?

if you like it yeah go for it but thats alot of miles. and i doubt you'd sell it on for as much.

Depends - if you think you can find a car for the same money that will give you as much fun then go for it. Not many of those around with full leather, and 90,000 isn't too much if it's been regularly serviced and most of the miles are motorway.

I wouldn't buy it second hand, or to sell on, but if I had driven it for a while and I needed a car I thought I could trust, then at least you know where your cupra's been...

It has been very looked after etc and I do love it to bits. I am thinking of getting it for the mrs as I will have my new fr in nov.

tbh 90,000 miles these days isnt a lot at all. My dads 2001 mondeo has done 180k miles never had an engine problem same with my bros 1999 mondeo his is coming up to 160k miles again no problems. Unless SEAT are very unreliable and that your car isnt serviced properly looked after etc then id say no lol

but as your the first owner im assuming then id hang on to it as you really know how its been treated etc

My dads old sierra did over 300k miles ......

and he still SOLD it....for about 350 quid.

im aware 90k isnt alot but once you pass over the 100k mark your loosing alot of selling potential. I dont have a problem with high miles and anyone on this forum as a car enthusiast knows better. but your average buyer will be either cautious or looking for a bargain.

After 3 years the value drops dramatically anyway...still get a couple of k in a couple years, or run it into the ground.
