does anybody know if a mk3 golf vr6 rear axle will fit on a mk2 ibiza?

thanks in advance

I wouldn't have thought so as the rear end of a MK2 Beeza is Polo, (hence the 37mm narrower track) would have thought someone would have gone down this route by now if it did and Bill wouldn't have sold quite so many spacers!!

But I could be wrong!

Mk3 axle will go no probs, you just swap of the pipes and stuff where required.

Rear VR6 discs are the same size as Ibiza GTI, but they are 5x100pcd

It's a damn sight more work & expense than spacers but this would make more sense to do this to equal out the front & rear track difference if you were keeping the car on the long term wouldn't it?

Doh

 read the post wrong you meant using the VR disc's on the ibiza axle?

Thought you meant the MK3 axle on the ibiza, & if it did why it had not been done before!!

also fitting 5x100 brakes would mean you could *theoretically* fit merc wheels with 5x100 > 5x112 pcd adaptors.

Bling :D
Hmm...i might need to do that next
