should i sell my mk4 golf gt tdi and buy a yellow cupra tdi ?

its an 02 plate 150 bhp with low miles in 3 door but i don't know weather i should keep it or get something more "sportyer" like the cupra or fabia vrs. i was going to do the R32 conversion but its a dirty deisel;)

can't really seem to find many yellow ones around the 04-54 plate. needs to be that age for the price as im just a young one

think of it this way.......skoda ( good car now that its owned by the germans ) but the name just doesnt do anything for it........or cupra which are rare on the road and i believe are alittle better in regards to build and stuff.....and i dont drive diesels so i dont no whats quicker. If u get it remapped just take it steady if u wanna keep ur clutch!

I would say no, keep the Mk4 Golf, refinement is a long way down on the ibiza compared to the golf. Power wise, due to trorque there won't be much in it. Plus the Golf Is classless.

Another option may be to trade for a mk5 Shape golf 2.0 tdi. you'll get a good price on your 02 150bhp and Mk5's start at 9 now. or even better an A3 2.0 tdi, again cracking cars. As for the Fabia, dopn't do it, build quality will quickly piss you off

yeah the build quality proberly won't be up to my standard but im only going to get away with having a yellow car when im young arn't i !

the golf is a very nice car.......just feels to  boring its very like the parents old 530d bmw it bounces on the road and sways about and it's kind of boring.

theres no nice sharpness to it and it feels an "older" persons car

only thing is what insurence group are the cupra tdi's ?

Cupra TDI is 14 or something, the Fabia VRS is 9.

My dad has a Fabia VRS, built a little better than mine, not so many rattles!

Both great cars...

I think its always a good idea to keep your car as long as possible, i learnt the hard way by changing my mind every year i've lost shed loads of money...

I'd definitely keep the golf, tbh there is probably not a great deal in terms of performance/handling and the golf will hardly depreciate being a VW diesel. I'm keeping my cupra tdi for years, even tho it rattles like a *******!

My car doesn't rattle at all! :D

You've got to think that a Fabia VRS is only the 130 tdi engine. So it's not gonna be rapid rapid. Don't get me wrong, it won't hang around but the Ibiza Cupra will be quicker at 160bhp. And the Ibiza Cupra looks the doggies bits. :) Go for a Cupra everyday!

130pd will remap well and save you pennies over the 160pd, thought about the FR 130pd?
