Oil temp sender

Need a bit of help.

When wiring up the oil temperature sender for the guage i have two wires on the sender. In the intructions it doesn't say anything about this and only tells me to connect one wire to the sender and the other to the nearest earth on the engine.

Was wandering what other people did on the Autometer guage.

Thanks

So the second cable (white) on the sender goes to the engine earth along with the earth cable to the meter. Am i correct?

Will be putting the sender in the sump bolt however i bought one already tapped from demon tweaks.

Sorry to drag up an old post but do you have the part number for that tapped sump bolt? I looked on the demon tweeks website but I could only find ones for vauxhalls and fords.

Thanks
Marc.

Going back to the wiring - Am i correct? I ended up with the ford sump bolt. To be honest i should have checked but haven't jacked the car up yetr to have a look. Just presumed that the sump bolts are all pretty standard.
