Right, was all set to stick my new alloys on this week then I read some stuff about 'runout stripes' on tyres - the coloured bands that run around the tread on a new tyre.
I understand they indicate which way the tyre is likely to pull, depending on where they are. So, for example, if one tyre has the stripe towards the outside, you should make sure the tyre on the other side also has the stripe towards the outside to balance it out.
Problem is, all four tyres on the wheels Ive been sent have the stripe on the same side, i.e. on the outside of the right hand tyres but the inside of the left hand ones.
Can't find any more info anywhere on this, hence I'm asking if anyone on here can shed any light. Should I be worrying about it?
