the filter etc fits fine just after the sensor thing.. im guessing its the air flow meter?

but I had a black pipe connecting to the airbox originall. what should that connect to?

Thats just a breather, get a small breather filter for it and just tuck it away in the engine bay. See mine...

ok, I had a long stainless steel pipe to fit from the air flow meter but it will no way fit in the engine bay.. so il put the cone directly on the pipe and an oilk breather on the little black hose

Your long pipe should feed down in to the wheel arch in order to mount the filter down there i'm guessing. Search for CAI.

Yeah, it wont be taking in hot air from the engine bay.
