Hi Folks,
got my hands on my new FR and haven't stopped laughing at the torque this thing has!!:D:D:D
Have a bit of concern today though as when I parked up after giving it some boot there was a smell of burning, when I touched the front wings beside the bonnet seam it was red hot!![:@][:@]
Opened the bonnet for 5 mins to let it breath!!
When I was driving it the temp gauge stayed at 90deg.
Has anyone else noticed this?

ta much
Ian.

they run very very hot, check out all the silver heat reflective everywhere, even under the car on the exhaust run. I dont know how my engine cover hasn't melted it gets so hot.

Leave it running and step out of it, the fans blow so much heat out of the side and rear of the car it will certainly keep me warm in winter, and if i ever get stuck, it wont take much to melt all the snow around me and get me going again hehehe :D

I got that on the .... 4th? Day of owning it. I hadn't even been driving it hard. Just back from town to a hotel in the country. Was it just mainly above the driver's side front wheel? That's where mine felt the hottest - and the car smelt funny.

I thought it was just burning something off. Hasn't done it since.

It doesn't seem to get that hot even when i've been driving it... spiritedly, and done the last 5 mins of journey at a "cool-down" sort of pace. There's no way it could cool down THAT much from the temp it must've been running at.

In short - I really don't know :s

Try it when it goes into "DPF Tractor mode" then it gets V V V hot - check out ALL the heat reflective heat shields in engine bay and under the car !!!
