Well now I've shared my Big Brakes, I'm gonna attempt to get pics of my car with it's new Body-kit fitted.
I will start a new thread so as no to upset our Forum Masters. Lol.
I do apologise for the number of attempts to post the pictures, I hope I have that all sorted now.

Perhaps you've changed your discs also? You could have left your originals with normal pads ,that's the cheap option.I tried with ventilated discs, but there was too much noise and there was the problem with the prices of the pads,so i left my original discs which do not require special pads

The ECS kit comes with monster 352mm Grooved or Drilled & Grooved Discs.
When your talking Brakes, size is important. Lol
I had large Brakes on my previous car, a heavily modified puma with 325mm Discs & 4 pot calipers, so i couldn't keep the standard set up on the Leon.

I was shocked when i discovered that VW had opted for a single pot system.
I'm sure it was DanGB that broke the news to me.
I was almost suicidal.

Im hoping that as most of my driving is Motorway miles and the brakes are so big, that I shouldn't need to worry about the price of pads for a while.

But did you really find the standard brakes that bad? People they they are better than the brembo 4 pots on the Leon Cupra R.

I found the 312mm competent enough for trackdays, but wanted that little bit extra. My car is heavily modified as well, so lots of extra power.
Size is imoportant, but size is also extra weight :p
But it helps having the seperate bells and rotors.

Why did you feel you needed to upgrade the whole kit?

Gizmondo, it is a AP racing big brake kit I have, for ther MkV Golf GTi, and its all the standrd kit parts. :)

DanGB I do drive fast and I do like the power of big brakes.
The standard kit wasn't that bad, I just got used to Big Brakes from my last car.

I looked into the AP Racing set up that you have, although the guy at AP Racing that replied to me didn't even know they made a 6 Pot kit.

I just think the ECS kit looks stunning and ain't that much more expensive than the 4 Pot offerings from AP Racing and Brembo.

The braing performance is stunning.

As previously discussed, I do intend to do track days, just worried that someone might wipe me out through no fault of my own.

I did a tracknight @ Knockhill thru Star performance and i was a bit concerned about how the brakes would do, even more so on the day as it was pashing it doon! see avatar.
anyway they were fine better than i expected, but you can always do with more, Canis check the scottish meets theres a bunch of us heading to crail on oct14, 1/4 mile sprint, you can get some use out of your brakes there.

Cheers K4ith, I'd love to play, but that weekend is the climax to the BTCC season and I already have my tickets and Hotel booked.

Can't wait.

Hope to meet up with other members there.

Hope Seat will pull the triple out of the bag, but Thruxton does suit the Vectra more.

I'll look foward to the next get-together.
