The bonnet on my mk3 Ibiza Cupra (onvi yellow) is becoming more and more noticeable with sun fade every day...and i wanna do something about it.

I could get a respray but this may mean the complete car needs a respray, so i'm thinking about a carbon bonnet? Or maybe an immitation one?

I'm not after weight saving methods, just the appearence.

I remember seeing an onvi Mk3 Ibiza like myn a while back, with a black bonnet. I'm not sure if it was a full carbon composite bonnet, (its doubtful due to price of carbon???) but it looked pretty smart in my opinion.

So my question is...does anyone have a carbon bonnet?

On a Mk3 Ibiza Cupra? In onvi? Costs?

Any feedback or info is appreciated.

cupra baz has one on his red one!! its looks awesome!! im hoping to get one soon lite tuned do one for the mk3 ibiza £550 i think!

A carbon bonnet on your car will look well smart!!!

I managed to find some photos of Baz's red Cupra, and it looks really smart.

I'm gonna do a little more research then see what i come up with.

When's the deadline for the group buy on these?

How do they make it...is it formed around the shape of the original bonnet? So like a skin?

If your only going for looks why dont you cover your bonnet with carbon decal, im sure you could get a sheet made which is bigger than your bonnet then fit it and over lap the edges underneath then trim. Just an idea. Something along the lines of this maybe

Send them a message and see if they could make a special order one big enough to cover your bonnet.

iv already looked into this. every place i tried could only get widths up to 600mm wide but any length which would mean a join.

you could get one printed onto vinyl but i got a sample and it was poor.

Personally, i don't think you can beat a well waxed bonnet! Not a huge fan of the whole 'bits of carbon panels here and there look'.

If it's just the colour fading from the sun, try a bit of t-cut? Worked wonders for mine and now looks like car is brand new!!!

Has anyone any experience of carbon bonnets from these guys?

Hi,

A word of warning from somebody who ordered a carbon bonnet from these crooks... don't do it!
I ordered a bonnet which took 6 weeks to arrive. When it arrived, not only was it badly damaged, but it was also the wrong bonnet.
This bonnet was sent from Spain. I've nothing against the Spanish, but you should have seen the state that the package arrived in. Absolutely shocking.
I've been shopping online for all manner of things for years, and I've never came across such a shambles in my life.

I tried to get a replacement and then a refund from them, but have been consistently fobbed off for weeks now. They never return phonecalls or emails.

They blame their supplier in SPAIN!!! and refuse to accept responsibility. They were quick enough to take my money. I thought, that looks like a good price, now I know why.

Just don't want anybody else making the same mistake that I did.
