FR has the platinum mirrors. Standard FR kit is different to FR+ which has the Cupra R kit but 17" cupra wheels. The Cupra TDI is similair to the FR+ but badged as a Cupra, a little bit older and some minor cosemetic differences.
Have a scan through the gallery, you'll see a few different one's in there, mine included.

The Leon 150 has a younger image to the Golf as well as better handling - the 130 looks just like the rest of the SE and S Leon range. The 130 would be cheaper to insure though....

Personally, I'd go with one of the 150 TDis because you'll just be wishing you had if you bought a 130. If, however, you're pressed - I'd go for the GT 130 Golf (better spec, etc) or the 150 Leon.

The 130 Golf would be (a lot) cheaper to buy and insure than the 150 Golf

The 150 Leon would cost you less (than either Golf) and looks (and will be better spec'd) than the 130 Leon

On cost grounds, the 130 Leon would be cheapest. The 150 Golf the most expensive (God knows why)

Heart says 150 Leon, head says 130 Golf. (Mind you, I'm biased - I've got the 150 FR TDi :) )

Tragically though, either Golf will hold it's value better.

The FR+ hold their value better than any of the above listed cars. You'd struggle to find a 55 plate for less than £13,000
They handle FAR better than the golf 150. look better too.
All comes down to your budget and taste. Whatever you go for, you will be buying a well made car with a good strong engine, so you can't lose really.

I'd go for the Leon 150.

Its the best looking out of the four... and whilst no quicker than the Golf 150, handles marginally better.

When you say Leon 150, which one do you mean ?

And why is the handling better on the Leons than the Golf I thought they both used the same chassis and driving gear ?

The 150 Leon is lowered and stiffened as standard (I believe) unlike the Golf - can't be 100% on the Golf's GT spec though....

My mate has the GTTDI 150 and trust me, the suspension is alot softer on his than my FR and when it comes to corners and roundabouts, his doesn't come close.
Yes the Leon 150 has the FMIC and its as good as you will get according to Allards as they don't plane to replace them when they tune them up.

Golf doen't have FMIC!
But who cares, if your really that interested in adding more power why are you looking at the most to start with? Surely you want more money in budget to buy more parts rather than initial cost?

Don't get me wrong, but you pay a lot of money for the R looking derv, but you'll get a sweet GTTDI for that money!
In fact! Anni Derv!
