Fitted my forge 007 dv today, (was expecting my air filter to be delivered too, but it wasnt!) But there isnt a 'pssst' noise! Im not very mechanical, so have i fitted it right? Or is it because i dont have a filter, and its not getting enough air?

1. Its a re-circulating valve which means it keeps external noise to a minimum.
2. You still have the standard air box which will keep it quiet.

Do you have a remap? If not you will be running standard boost which will be quiet.

My mrs has the same valve as you and hers is very loud. But she does have an open conce induction kit, TIP, Remap etc etc.

The noise will come mate, you just need some more boost and a few more bits to 'enhance' the sound:)

As said above, to get the loudest woosh you'll be wanting an induction kit and a remap to compliment the Forge DV.

Mine took a while to bed in, it was silent at first, i've got remap/TIP/filter. As the lads say though you will need the other mods to make it loud.

If its the woosh noise your after mate then swap it for the split R valve, it keep the recirc and give the blow off noise :D

My engine is totally standard barr a catback exhaust and it gives off a loud dump noise with the R valve fitted
