little light, any ideas

Morning People.

Ive had a search on this before people say, and couldnt find much. (not knowing what its called).

I drove my car to the station today got out and noticed a little switch/red light down the bottom of the piller between the front drivers door and rear door door.

As you do, being a man, I pressed it to see what it did but didnt notice anything happen.

It has a little pic of a car on it with some lines above.

Any ideas what this does?

It's the interior volumetric sensor switch for the alarm...

i think its something to do with the alarm ,,, poss disarms it so depending on where you live id make sure its on

should be in manual i think

will look over the manual tonight. I pressed it a few times so might have disabled something lol.

Either way. didnt turn on or off anylights anywhere

if you press it before you lock the car it disables the internal sensors
so you can leave dog etc in it

Yeh it renables next time you arm it.
