guy at work had this on a fabia, i plugged in Vag-com it came up with imobliser and cluster fault codes cleared them down and it started, its VAG's own way i think of stopping you making the car clockable
I can clear codes with SHENZHEN United Intelligence Technology Co.'s OBDII CTOOLS.
I usually use that to clear the airbag lamp.
I did not clear any lamps this time.
"My" VAG technician is back to work and came by to day with a VAS 5052. The only thing it could tell us was that the transponder signal was weak. (That's directly translated from Norwegian.) Weak, wtf?
He wrote down some numbers and will email them to VAG and get my SKC. This is an old Leon, so I assume he won't need to dial up the GEKO system.
I hope I can get this code and use VAG-COM's key matching capabilities to clear out the old key-matching and re program the key.
Mind the " "'s on "My". He don't show up for free any time I want.
But I live close to the dealer, and their test route passes my place, so I often get lucky.
Just wished it helped to day.
...unless you know what you're doing. (Which I thought I did, because I've messed with it many times before.) To have a mechanic nearby and/or VAG-COM helps too.
