oh yeh for everyone who doesnt use super unleaded already ...just work out the money difference and u know its worth it. i work it out to about £2.50 more but you get a lil more miles with it so it is worth it also your engine is cleaner.

sorry everyone around me thinks im just being an idiot for putting super in ... rant over back to thread

I use VPower all the time in the IHI...and I use Redex probably once a month.

I think it helps, does more than those daft Octance boosters lol

FYI - My Saxo Westcoast went through a phase of not starting in the mornings very well at all. I bought similar Redex stuff, and it did the trick. It was condensation in the petrol tank, so the car was not getting petrol on first tick over etc... hence why I say this stuff does work IMHO.

Could i use super unleaded in my 1.4?? Or wouldn't it really be worth it because it is a 1.4?

Ive been wondering this for a while.

i used tesco 99ron in my 1.4s and u do get more miles out of it, and its nicer to the engine, i tried it out with the 1.4 for a while and then when i put 95 back in it, it didnt like it. it kinda got used to the high life. it seriously wont make u go faster and u prob dnt need it, but settles the engine better imo.

Well i mite give it a try, altho the nearest tesco where i can get the 99 ron fuel is 45miles away . So i dont know whether to try it now.

I used normal unleaded in mine for months when i first got it. Someone mensioned super unleaded to me so i thought i'd give it a whirl with a some Redex in. Now i'd never go back to normall unleaded.

Oh and ive found Tesco's Super to be better than Vpower!
