hmm... i think it´s a little bit tricky to install only the middle ones (which are on the picture) without changing the right position, and also without breaking for fingers...

and before you buy the whole vents for lots of money, you could also buy the vents from the old Audi A3 (in Germany it´s called "8L"), then you got illuminated vents... looks better, same price!

These look nice. Company called TMT Tuning do them, I've never heard of them. These are Passat size, I would imagine that they do Golf IV size

Those are very nice, although i'd want to colour code it to my interior red. Methinks some playing about with LEDs will be called for ;)

Don't think that they are the same size or that A4's have them

sorry...

i don´t think they are the same size!

and i also don´t think that vents from Golf IV can fit... only A3/S3 and Leon/Toledo MK1.

back to the original question!

i've just re-fitted all the pieces in the middle vents and those middle ones are fiddly because they're metal and don't bend as easy as the plastic ones. a bit of patience and they're good as new

yes, carefully & you might have to take one of the plastic ones out just underneath, i found it easier!
