Hi all just an update on this i have now nearly finished installing the scangauge.

I bought the scangauge and a din blanking plate and spend a few hours this evening putting them together i know a few people were thinking of doing this so here's the pics i havent 100% finished yet need to run the wire behind the dash but its getting a bit late to start doing that now!!

Looks smart mate have to say though I would have possibly wet and dry sanded the marks out around the hole. Im sure though it will look dead smart once the cable is out the way. O might I also add A++on the flowery background

Yeah, i read that it does show boost on certain cars, that would be sweet if it does.

Loving the install fair play, and for some people this is a lot easier and cheaper than buying a laptop, vag com and a cable. Nice work.

hahaha i left the flowers there for you my firend haha!!, to be honest mate it was getting late and i went a bit mad with the dremel and cut a bit to far on one edge but will prob just buy another blanking plate and spend a bit more time to make sure it is an exact fit, i made it a bit smaller that the gauge and just rammed it in there so i didnt have to make anything to stick it onto the plastic which was cool!!

http://www.scangauge.com/ is the website to check out it does loads of stuff personally i get a fault code for every 100miles i drive its an egr fault because jabba turned mine down as much as possible but they can't get the fault to go so i just use it to clear that but it is a pretty cool bit of kit for £100 can't say where i got it from as its against admin rules apparently!! i use it to watch the air intake temps and manifold pressure, dunno about boost pressure, i just bought a boost gauge lol i will put up some pics of what was in there before as i know a few people were thinking of doing what i had before but my advice don't buy a ready made 3 gauge single din plate that faces them at an angle towards you because as i found out there are gaps at the top still looks ok at night but during the day it looks terrible. I am going to put a tiny bit of black mastick round the edge just to hide the bits where i went a bit mad with the dremel and to make sure its not going to fall out!!

prob will sell these at some point but at the moment they are just sat on the desk in my room looking cool haha like i said if someone did buy them from me i would tell them to buy a flat din blanking plate and cut 3 holes in it would look alot better that having gaps but just for a temporary thing its pretty cool setup
