I know pretty much nothing about these engines or any engines lol

Whats needed to put a bigger turbo into the car?

I know the basics but what internals do you need? I am just curious as after i finish the bodywork to the car i am hoping to do quite a bit of tuning.

Cheers

Ross.

Whats the budget and what are your power goals.

like bill said, whats your power goal?
you "may" not even need internal work doing, depends how far you want to go

Its a while away before I will be doing much to the engine but i am saving up as from next week once I am back from holiday.

Looking for pretty much as much speed and power as possible but would still like the engine to be reliable.

no offence, but how do you know how much to save if you dont know what you want to do and how far to go??

the phrase "p1ssing in the wind" springs to mind

do a bit of research on what your looking for/power goals etc etc and start from their

but i can tell you this, if your after a pukka BT install with engine rebuild with all the clever internals, clutch, diff + labour id budget about 10k - seriously !

I was thinking getting mega power out of the ibiza but i think i might look more towards a ko3s turbo or something. This is all a while away anyway i am looking to get my car resprayed and bumpers smoothed by september time.

if your just going to go for a k03s, then it will only cost as much as the turbo cost plus mapping (depending what map you already have, may just need setting up, ie revo etc ..)

no internals required, straight bolt on swap for your old turbo

That snds like a cheaper option. Also i have read some posts about revo stage 2 not being much more powerful than stage 1. Whats the difference?
