FR Dash (Silver Bit) Repair/Colour?

Hiya people.

Jsut wondering if anyone can help me. Bought an FR about a week ago and its got a few chips on the silver part of the dash. Does anyone know if I can get a colour match for this so i can touch it up? Tired doing a search on the forums but nothing cant up. Aldo just a quick one are the FR suppose to have heated mirrors, its just mine dont heat. Its a 06reg FR TDI

not sure on the paint. but as for the heated mirrors, make sure the Adjustor switch is in the middle (this turns the heated mirrors on) the little joystick kind of this where you adjust your mirrors. as if you were going to swap sides just leave the switch in the middle.

no heated mirrors on mk4's any more, think they went off the spec list in 2004 along with some other stuff

I think muddyboots knows more about all this than most

ok thanks for the reply. Well i think ive got a fault on both the mirrors and the heated part if it has any. Im taking it in to Seat on Wednesday and they wont move at all and wont heat.

i have a 07 plate ibiza fr and their heated on there

you cant say seat done this that year and not the other year as at the factory it must be like

"i feel like putting a boot light and oil temp guage on this ibiza"


then on the next car its


"I cant be arsed to put the heatedmirrors or boot light on this 1"

they cut and change things all the time gotta love seat

Ha, yeah i think its just faulty. Its going in Wednesday, only had the car a week.

it will have heated mirrors if it has the heated mirror sign on the mirror adjust pad (it will be in the centre)

I think it might just be trial and error to get the paint to match - unless Seat do a touch-up, which I very much doubt.

As for the heated mirrors, according to the 12/06 brochure I have, it's only fitted to the FR as part of the Luxury Pack (with the folding mirrors), or Convenience Pack on FR and Cupra. Not fitted to any model as standard (not in this brochure anyway).
