Help!!cupra shuttering..

Had my 52 plate leon cupra (180) for around 2 months absolutly, Great car but started to shutter/pause for a second in 1st 2nd and 3rd mainly when warm,and part throttle, unsure if turbo seems louder . i have searched on this and there are many possibilitys been in to local steelers ,they said nothing wrong all they did was drive and try to simulate the shuttering to be honest they dont seem bothered as it still in warrenty, is there any 1 near Barnsley with experience and Vag-com and how to test boost for leaks who could help please as am short of cash to go into specialist garage, and driving me mad. Also what are these cars like pulling through 4th say at 30 - 70mph compaired to a standard car as mine doesnt seem to up there in performance, worried power may be down... HELP..

It sounds like it might be the Air Mass Meter - I had a similar problem when I lost power, but that was in all gears.

I'm no expert but it might be worth a thought?

does actuall feel down on power all through gears and has shuttered couple of time in 5th my thoughts were MAF. DV, Split hose . thts why could do with Vag-com to check. as dealers said no fault codes but like i said still in warenty, bet you anything when warent runs out problem will be found immediatly

Try just taking the MAF temporarily off to see what happens...

And if you've told them the problem while it's **in** warranty you should be covered - Just make sure you put it in writing to them so that you can say "well, the problem started when it was **in** warranty"

They should be ok with that though. I think.....

using vag, got to measuring blocks and check blocks 115, this measure the boost, requested vs actual boost to see if it meets the ecu demands.

You sure cars is not miss firing? does it sound like a subaru?

will try umplugin maf see if that works will that cause any fault lights to come on dash??car just feels sluggish like today was side by side with box standard 1.8 astra and mine dint seem to pull past that impressively,,, "BigLad" what do you meen sound like a subura ?? ps does any 1 know who is near barnsley with Vag-com

It should be ok for a little while but I wouldn't leave it too long...

well when it blows a coil pack or spark plug, it sound likes subaru exhaust.

come to think of it "BigLad" exhaust does sound boomyish on lower revs started bout same time as problem thought exuast was blowing but no sighns , thought that maybe was meant to be like that . how is the standered exuast supposed to sound ie Loud/Quiet... Thank for the reply

To be honest! best to get scanned on vag, to so can check whole car.
