Hi, I have just discovered that my aerial has actually snapped; a good reason why the radio reception is so crap!

Now, I've tried searching on Google, Ebay and also here, but no joy on removing/replacing the aerial. I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but I could not find anything.

Could someone please point me in the right direction, how to remove the broken one, and either replace it, or repair it.

I'm guessing its not going to be an easy job, but that far outweighs not having a decent radio to listen to!

Cheers all

Stick a picture up of what the damage looks like?

(assuming its a roof aerial)
Removing it is just brut force, but that depends on where on the aerial has snapped.

To access the nut that holds the base to the roof: you will need to take some interior trim off to be able to pull the rear headlining away. Then you just need a large spanner (not sure on the size, I used an adjustable one...)

Its the standard roof aerial, at the back of the car.

Edit: Its the actual metal antenna thats snapped right at the base where is meets the black plastic.

I shall go and take a snap of the aerial and the damage.

Because the standard aerial on these cars have a sort of anti-theft design.

To get it off, unscrew it until it is loose and you can move it up and down then just give it a good pull and move it from side to side. It should come out them.

Bit of an effort to do it but it will come out. I managed to get mine out using this method.
