too good to be true??

Hi all. First post

I need some advice, I'm having a bit of dilemma. After reading tons of posts I'm ready to spend my hard earned money on a cupra r. I've just test driven one from a local dealer (not an approved seat dealer) and it was great.

The car is 2004 (54), silver, 19100 miles and £11990. From looking around, that seems quite cheap; I’d have thought it would be about £13k+ for that mileage and I can't help but be a bit suspicious, is it too good to be true?
There were no obvious marks on the body however I did notice the gap between the bonnet and the head light was slightly bigger (1mm ish) from the other side (crash damage?). Apart from that, and when the accelerator pedal cover came off when I got out of the car, I can't fault it.

They'll park eachange too which is handy.

What do you think??

That does sound pretty cheap - I'd get an HPI check done if you're concerned.

I'd expect to be paying £13000 as you said.

Think if you hold out and keep looking you will find a cheaper one.
My black LCR may be going up for sale next month some time due to getting a bigger house,only owned it for a couple of months but can say they are great cars with the added factor that they are not common either.
Im going to try and see if i can hold onto it but if it comes to it it will have to go as i would rather plough the cash into bricks and water now.
If i were to sell i would be looking for around the £11,400ono,for an 04 LCR with just over 14,000 miles on the clock.

The bonnet gap is nothing. It's adjustable on the two rubber feet on the front corners

Bricks a water was my own version,im hoping i can hold on to the car but with todays house prices i may need to sell,drop me a mail on the above address and i will send you some info just to show what you get for your money and also to compare with other LCR's

Firstly hello and welcome

The price is probably about average for a non franchised seat dealer i would have thought, tbh...

And I've found leon lc & lcr prices seem to vary greatly, it seems a decent price tho'

just make sure you get it Hpi'd, so you know there no hidden nasties,

And if it's the one i've just found on autotrader it looks tidy enough, just check it over properly, get an aa or rac inspection done, for peace of mind...

I think that sounds about right imo. I worked on private sell at £x, standard garage add £1k, then seat dealer add £2k. It was pretty close to that each time when I was looking about 4 months ago.

Don't be put off by the price - it seems a good price but it is not too low to be really suspicious. take it out for a spin, check it out properly and see what you think.

Also FSH is a must to check the mileage is ok. No service history then no sale imo.

It has FSH. The deposit has been paid (pending the inspection), I pick it up next friday!
