Cars have such a human element....

I think my LCR has realised it's for sale... as yesterday it decided to start eating it's coolant sensor. Great. Luckily not an expensive job but it's more money spent on a car that hopefully wont be mine for much longer. This is, of course, on top of the tax and MOT coming up....

I'm sure cars have an element of human in them, which makes them sulk and get upset which ultimately costs money to put right! In fact, that sounds like most women I've met..... ;)

Still not much luck selling... loads of interest, loads of nice comments, but no money in the bank, which is what counts.

Including labour and vat it cost £50. The part itself was £22+vat and you can easily fit it yourself, but when they said they would do it all-in for £50 I thought what the heck, saves me the hassle and it only took them 10 minutes :)

Part number S059919501A if you need it :)

lol, well if it's playing up, I certainly won't be buying it ;)

Better to buy one that you know has just had one of the common faults put right, than one that hasn't and be faced with the bill a bit later on ;)

MAF was changed when I first got it, too ;)

RobM - what are you going to get to replace the LCR?

Something CHEAP! Probably an Escort GTi or something. Was thinking about an Xsara VTS but want to go cheaper, both in terms of running costs and purchase price.

Escort will cost around £1000-£1300, cheap to insure, cheap running costs, cheap servicing, cheap parts... but it still looks better than most £1k cars and drives well too :)

Anything in that price bracket will be a step down from the LCR - and even from the Mrs' Puma which is also for sale - but at this stage, I'd rather have a house than a fancy car :)

haha, you know that's not really the reason i'm not buying it. *cough*blackwingmirrors?*cough* ;)

Seriously though, It's a tasty little car, but my PS3 is this month's money leech.

Hooray for overdrafts!

Did you not read the advert... the yellow mirrors are back on the the black ones are for sale! So, would you like to pay cash or cheque? ;)

lol, a wise selling decision methinks - the wing mirrors, I mean - not the decision to accept cheque! ;)

I couldn't possibly justify an LCR at the moment, even though i'd happily take yours off your hands if you'd only waited 6 months :)

But NOOO, you had to have "higher priorities" ;)
