just after opinions here really.

what is the best power for the Ibiza to make it an all round drivers car?

at a quick guess, 156, too low, 350ish IHI jobby to much?

whats everyones opinion?

Depends how you drive, how you like your cars to drive and how you can actually handle the power.

I like the agressive kick, wheel spin and sillyness IHI gave me, however on track days I found myself wnding the boost down on the corners then turning it back up on the straights.

Ideal power for grip, handling and driveability would be around the 280bhp mark, but even then it'll spin. It also depends on the turbo characteristics too...

Depends what you want out of it? At the moment I've got a Jabba chip, forge DV, Green stuff filter, decent coilover kit and it feels plenty quick enough and it should also be reliable... Once ove got a full exhaust fitted ill be more than happy with it.

Mine wheel spins in 2nd which is quite amusing.

Yep, completely agree. I quite like mine being nippy/quick and reliable at sort of sensible at the same time. Im loving my Cupra at the moment, its plenty quick enough.

Have you still got the Brand New BMC CDA Induction Kit for sale? How much are you after?

Its not really about the power, its more to do with the setup i reckon, good handling, brakes and mapping can make a 350-400bhp car run spot on imo.

i'm loving mine as it is set up now,

got 212bhp at the wheels with 281 lb/ft of torque. k03s turbo with all the usual mods,
with coilovers, rear arb, front and rear struts, rear 20mm spacers, 16's with toyo T1-R's on 195/40/16, and tarox 300mm 6 pots :)

drives brilliant on the road and on the track, much quicker than most things at the few trackdays i've been too!
and handles like a dream - go-kart, and hardly spins in second :)

Well I took my Ibiza from 156 to around the 220-230bhp mark... then bought the IHI Ibiza which is nearer 330-340bhp....

If you want a rapid smooth Ibiza, I would say around the 230-240bhp....and get it mapped progressive not aggresively....not a huge amount of turbo lag, and enough power to safely over take and have some fun in... I love the IHI but if I had to sell it tomorrow I would happily go back to my Stage II Ibiza without a seconds thought.

The IHI is shear brute force, but I love it lol

have to agree on mike there. my garrett can be a little too much sometimes.

im still seeking more power tho (not sure why)

I think that 250ish would be about right for the day to day driver. I mostly use mine at the weekends so would love a IHI or the likes but i dont think money will permit!

Hooch your mad for it! Any chance of a passenger ride at the JKM RR day if you go?? :D

looks like youll be leaving with a few more pounds than you arrived with! Tin of coke ok as i assume you wont be DD`ing ;) Would be awsome to see what she can do, Would be nice to feel the power after our chat about it keeping up with the likes of supercars!

i disagree on this one.
320-340bhp on mine originally, very drivable.
suspension & tyres up to the job and torque biasing diff in the box...

k03s cars are more aggressive on power delivery compared.. slower but hard sustained pull for me made vf34 ihi extremely drivable.

strong pull from 3.5K to 7.5k rpms in every gear :D

Supose depends on the track, Nurburgring it was fine, but Croft (which is a tight track I suppose) it span too much out of corners. Saying that if I ran R888's it would have been 10 times better.

its a package thing.
why have power and nasty tyres so you cant use it?
same goes for power and no diff.
power and std brakes
power and std suspension

1/2 a job.. not cos power is too much, but the rest is not good enough to keep in synch
