hello folks i have a troublesome TDI alhambra Se , i have the power loss at 3000rpm and have had the N75 valve replaced but still have the problem, my local dealer has been superb in trying to find the problem but are hinting at the ECU being the root of the limp mode dropping in , has anyone has an ECU replaced for this reason?

cheers

Check normal PD 'limp mode' culprits.

Dirty or worn MAF, clean the element with a residue free solvent (spray carb cleaner through it) unplug it and see if the car runs any better on the default map. If the car seems 'the same'/smoother/better with the maf disconnected, buy a new one.

VNT mechanism sticking, move the actuator rod in the middle of the turbo by hand, and ensure it has a good range of motion.

Check for boost control tube leaks (around N75 etc), also check the N75 is plumbed in correctly.

Check you MAP sensor.

Check temp sensors.

Check crank position sensor.

@ 3000 rpm its going to be airflow meter
if a fault code comes up saying boost pressure limit exceeded then it will be a duff turbo as the wastegate is sticking

Does the power loss occur in high gears only, or does it also happen in 1st & 2nd?
