Leaking oil cap!

Hi guys....Well I'm new to this forum, so hi to you all!!!

I'm 3 days into my LCR ownership, having brough a red '04 Reg Cupra R with 34,000 on the clock..

Just a quick question, the oil filler cap seems to be leaking oil, I've had a good look at it and cleaned it out and it seems to be broken and thus not creating a good seal...Is this a common fault and anyone know how much a new one is??

Not realy! some must have tried over tighting it too much! Very cheap from dealers! Its only a oil cap Make sure you dont get the broken bits falling into the engine

Cheers....Getting a new one tomorrow.....along with 3 R badges which have corroded!!!!

before you fit the badges give them a couple of coats of clear laquer. Should keep the elements at bay for much longer.
