To do a trottle reset, dsiconnect battery for 15mins aprox, reconnct battery, turn on ignition, wait for a 2mins aprox (should hear a wizzing sound), once the whizzing stopped, start engine

you can run it ona few miles but its not good! as it cannot measure the correct air mass, it just will be using the default values which are not ideal.

They are a piece of cake to change mate. I have had trouble with Ebay MAFs in the past.... Tried 2 and both gave me limp mode so went for one from Ted Johnson Seat on here. 10% discount it was about £70 or less IIRC.

Up to you though if you want to try. Nick-Barnes obviously found a better one.

Cheers, think that its down to my airfilter, may have had a weak maf and with the extra air intake car has been playing up.
I hope with a new MAF the induction kit will cause no problems.

MAF`s go down for fun
I would say it is nothing to do with intakes or air filters at all
Is this going to cure the problem with the SplitR?

It may do but i have since bought a 007p from awesome so will be keeping that on now i think.
Im getting car rolling roaded wednesday so sould know more then.
Im a bit paranoid now what happens when i put a new MAF on and it goes down again, car was fine before i upgraded dv and induction kit.

A favourite with induction kits is poor mounting and bracing and less isolation from Vibration.......MAF's get shaken to death with vibration.

Take a look at the induction kit, see how much play is in the assembly and maybe try some additional support.

Problem with MAF's is that they don't always fail, sometimes they continue to work just underread......making diagnosis more difficult

A dyno session whould help to unearth any problems but I would look at the mounting of the induction kit too
