Fog surrounds - Removal

Just a short one, just had some new fog surrounds delivered, got to paint them yet. (16v GTi) I can't seem to get the old ones off! whats the knack?

They just clip in, get a screwdriver into a corner and pop it out. Did you buy it new? I was shocked (and amazed ) at the price of them from Seat.

I've got the grille looking ones on mine (look like vents), you can buy them brand new from seat for about £3.00 a side.

I was expecting at least £15 to £20 a side!!

For some reason I don't really like the look of the flat, colour coded ones, they just look as though they were an afterthought!!

Cool, Primed ones cost me £10 each from Seat, now to spray them! Gonna do it over the weekend, cheers all!

I just turned my original grilled ones into fog lamp surrounds! Its very time consuming but saves you money in the long run! Also I think they look better than the flat ones!

Though I still haven't got around to wiring them in yet........

They look cool, just ballsed up my first spray job! Starting again, had a bloody fly land on the surround in the middle of painting!

Did you cut yours up to put fog lights in? I thought I was being a bit of trend setter

And yes, even though it doesn't need saying...

Black is the ultimate colour!

Nope. Sorry, mines a fully loaded GTi. Was missing the grille when I bought it so the vented looking things went in
