Wanting to change my head unit to a pioneer dvd unit on my 54 reg LCR..Went to the local car shop and was told i needed an adaptor cable which i expected anyway, they told me one from a mk5 golf would work..i have since had a mate try and fit it for me and we are sure the gold wiring isnt the one for this car as we cannot work out how it could possibly fit..lol

Also how does the faceplate adaptor attatch?

Any help would be greatly appreciated..

Thanks

The fascia adapter I'm sure needs to be fitted before the cage for the stereo is put in. I didn't fit my own but I'm sure that was on the instructions.

Is this the adapter you need?

I have one here brand new and unopened. I didn't need it in the end as the JVC stereo came with it's own.

You could have it for a couple of quid and postage?.

If i was to get an adaptor like that, where would the 3 little coloured blocks go?I know only 1 of them has wires but i dont know what to do with it..
The DVD player will connect with the wires that are allready in the car but cant get sound..
