I was doing a bit of research on the standard fitted SMIC on the LC this arvo, and was reading various things, about the stock set up suffering from heatsoak and loosing power on warm days.
Which got me to thinking (dangerous i know ) and wondered if a small 12v electric fan fitted with a on/off switch on the dash could be used to cool things down a bit when it gets a bit warm.
I'm sure a motorcycle rad fan could be used in the position, as they are fairly small both in diameter, and depth, mounting could be a small task, but i expect some bracket's could be made to fit ok.
Obviously a new SMIC from awesome or forge would help, but i'm talking about improving on the std SMIC cooling capabilities, without spending £300 or £400....
Has anyone here done this on their SMIC Leon, and if so with what results...
And was wondering what people thought ???
If not i might well look into this further...
