Goto strip what I can this weekend, then I goto get some std parts of carl/tom. Then I can crack on with tidying up the body.
Bit of a dilemma boys, offer your opinions please.
My car now has the fuse box melted which isnt that big a deal, its getting sorted on wednesday, but I might be getting a new company car to use, an A3 2.0 tdi dsg, yes its a sooty and automatic but i live and work in london now and trust me my clutch foot is taking a beating with all this traffic.
So, my ibiza is looking a bit redundant on the drive nowadays and as much as I want to keep it and get BT, I cant really justify it -IF- this other car works out.
Its had an engine rebuild at 70k, and until the fuses melting which I guess is common anyway has been running sweet, but it has a fair few dents which I dont want the next owner to think ive treated it like a **** and thrashed it, most are paintless dents and a couple look worse than they are, but will people see past that?
Im thinking about trying to be realistic if i sell it, but even k03'sd with all the goodies will not get me that much with the bodywork as it is.
Do I
A) get the dents removed
B) Offer it up at less and get a quick sale
C) Offer up parts (although a stupid option as I gave away all my standard bits lol should have been more like carl and kept everything)..... and then sell standard but with all the dents whats it worth like 3.5k?
Im trying to find a way of keeping it but reality sucks.

Ignore 3rd option as it may end up costing you.
You need to weigh up
How much it'll cost to get the dents removed Vs How much less you'd sell it as it is, VS The difference in what you'd get from selling / swapping parts to put it back to standard.
As Carl, i've kept all the standard parts, but Stan can have the DP, as I aint gonna be arsed with swapping that, and would they actually know?

Spotted one of these yesterday as i was coming out of cardiff:
Looked really odd, seeing a guy with a helmet on, driving down the Cardiff/ barry link road in a 4 wheeled Canoe.

yeah but my garage is full of **** lol
personally i wouldnt bother spending more money on it just to sell it for a tad more. that seems silly to me.
might be worth doing a jonzy, and just seeing what stock parts you could gather and replace just to make a few quid extra.

going into cardiff tonight [Safe], however i'm working at 10 this morning even though i only finished at 10 last night. looking forward to watching the rugby though and then going for beers after. may try that new oceanic club which is the old creation. dont really like that stuff but i'll give it a try like
well iv kept most of my standard bits, well most of them anyway,

I'm prob going, to sell as it is then, I'm going to hate seeing it go as Ive been through everything with it, the bodyshop quoted about £500 to sort all the dents out as most of them were paintless dents, but that would probably be the difference in price If i sold it now so I dont really think its worth it.
Wanted nearer 6k but i'll go with about 5.5 hoping for a quicker sale.
No nearer to knowing whether I get the company car yet though so might keep it after all lol

the ****er just bent back when i reached to get out, its only plastic, weird though as not felt any weakness in it before and then suddenly half of it comes away. cant use it now so having to have window down and reach out to use the outer handle lol piece of ****
