Vag Com test

I have got the software and cable for Vag-com and have installed it onto my laptop, It is saying that i need to test the software with the car to get the serial code but i cant seem to get it to do it ?

anyone got any ideas on what may be causing this ?

im looking into vag-com at the moment and have a cable and trial software...was a pain to get the cable talking but it works now...im in tamworth just outside brum if you wanted a hand geting it working. have you got the full version?

Go into a control module of your choice and read fault codes... That should do it.

I got the software of a mate a while ago and i hae it working on my old ibiza, but on this one i cant seem to get it to work. I got the lead with the car so not sure where it was brought from, but the guy who u brought it off said it does work.
