Selling my Ibiza

Hi all

Sorry but I'm becoming a traitor next weekend, I'm selling my Ibiza for a
Pearlescent Black Polo GTi 1.8T 5door. Got a great deal as a trade in, £800 more than Glass's guide, and all my options are being fitted f.o.c

Absolutely stunning motor! Drives great! I need to be honest with ya's all tho, ever since I bought the Ibiza I missed my Polo GTi (1.6 16v), and getting back into another (updated 9n model) one and being a Turbo too, well, I've lusted for petrol too much and my wish has come true! Will post piccies when I get it next weekend!

I will still be coming online to see how ya'll are, thanks for all the support and information over the past year-or-so.

p.s I need to know if there are any friendly forums' like this for VW (Polo) owners, can't seem to find any on MSN Search, and desperate to chat and share my enthusiasm!

basically same car as yours anyway, 1.8t good for 235bhp on standard turbo, looks nice only thing i hate is the dec chair type seat covers!

argh yes I've heard about these Cup Polo's they're like the 180hp 1.8t's aren't they?
not seen any pics of them, but bet it's a flier!

Bought the 5 door model, as found 3 doors isn't convenient enough for me and the fam! Was getting annoying having to fold the seats forward everytime!
Got the GTi for 13 750 which i thought was high for the year, 2006 July reg, but it has
Electric Sunroof
Full Climate Control
Metallic Paint

It looks stunning, only parked it in the car park at work on Tuesday, and the amount of comments I got *all good* yey! lol !!!!!

Can't wait, dump valve and air filter are first on my list

I recently got a Polo GTI 5 door too!
Mines in red (wouldn't have been my first or second choice) and is a VW UK ex-demo so has a pretty full spec including the very rare VW SAT-NAV. List price of mine would have been well over £17k!!!
Only mods so far are 17'' wheels and a shortened bee-sting ariel ('cos the original one kept hitting my garage door!), got a PD160 intake lying about that I may or may not bother fitting and have a few plans in the pipeline finances permitting.......

yeah you can . 1.8T and Tdi are same airbox. Not sure if its is the same on the polo though.

Hmm, I know where you're coming from but sometimes you've just got to do these things

tell me about it i went from 60mpg ibiza to 25mpg mini, stings a little sometimes, plus i do miss the damn sensibleness of the TDi sometimes.

The Polo is nicer to drive than the Ibiza, still holds the road as well, but less jarring from the suspension! Plus I've now got ESP, Sunroof and Electric Rear Windows! Woo Woo
Think the Polo looks cool with the red GTi grille and mini Golf GTi wheels (16" instead of 17") lol
Like I said tho, it's remaining as it is for now, but Dump Valve and new Air Filter are on the cards!

yeah I want the nice noise they do! I believe I need a dump valve and replacement airbox... you tell me Rash I'm bloody useless with technical jargon on cars! teehee

ok tbh the dumpvalve is frownd apon on this site BUT i know of 4 people 1 being myself that has used a dumpvalve on a 1.8 20vt engine and have had no problems what so ever! but im not a great fan of the noise soi took it off and got a forge recirculating valve as it is quiet and non tssh wwoooshh noise!
