Tinted Windows

Hey Guys,

Was looking to get my windows tinted and was wondering wether anyone knew if Seat dealers do tinting. If not does anyone know of places in South Wales that do tinting.


Also was going to get the FR style rear lights (as i prefer them to the lexus style ones) anybody bought these and know a rough idea of prices for them?

bare in mind that if you tint your front windows they will be illegal.

Normally people say the FR/Cupra rear lights are 'lexus' lights or atleast look like them, as they are silverish in colour.

I assume you have red rear lights at the moment?

As far as tints, yup just look for a local company to do them, and as mentioned ANY tint on the front as far as I am aware is ilegal other than the factory fitted tint that is alrready on the glass.

Doesnt mean people and company dont have/do that

Yeah i've got red rear lights and as my car is grey thought it would look better as the colours on the car and lights would match.

I didn't know that tints on your front windows was illegal, i thought you were allowed upto 33% tint on you front windows.

^ yeah its silly, the police made me get rid of my tints which were just over the legal limit 40% iirc! however they dont get the people with limo style tints?! whats up with that??

I would get the fronts done if i was you, its all or none imo. ive never been bothered, but depends on your luck with how much of a pr*k the copper wants to be. Got 50% on my fronts. And yea, any film applied to the fronts is illegal.

Ya, will deffo suit the colour of your car better than the red I would imagine

As for tints, yup... the factory tints are believe it or not around 33% but have a green tint to them from what I can remember, which doesnt make them look as dark as say a 33% tint to black.

I have to agree, if you tint the back with anything more than 50% the fronts will need tinting to match, otherwise will look daft.

Ive had 50% tint on the front of my car for nearly two years, been stopped several times for several things but never collared me for the tints? They are ott and neither is my car, minus the exhaust now, and the vinyl all over it before.
