Need to replace the passenger side electric window switch on my LC. Is it as simple as just levering off the trim that the swithc sits in or do I have to do the whole door card removel thing.....

Cheers

You could probably do it from above, the switch just clips in from above - if you can find where the clips are...

Mind you, if you have the other one in your hand, you'll know where they are - might need to push them in with a small screw driver.

I'm fairly sure the connector pulls through, once you've got the switch out.

easier and less chance of damaging the trim if you take the door card off, removing the door card is a quick job anyway. I think the actual switch assembly is screwed on from the back??

I don't think it's screwed on, but it is definitely easier and safer to do from behind the door card.

I just removed my passenger switch today... it's not screwed in. If you carefully lever a thin flat screwdriver in from the top and prise it up it will unclick quite easily. Then the switch itself can be removed from the plastic facia for replacement.

i've just had the same problem, just been to seat for a new switch. I used a small flat screwdriver and prised up the plastic facia around the switch and it all just popped out, changed the switch and popped back in.
