Hi All,

I know there are various threads on this but I thought by doing a survey it might help those like me who want to want to get a re-map but dont have a clue some kind of help in making their choice.

I am sure there are more tuning companies out there but I got the names I listed form doing some research. Feel free to add further names to the thread, apologies for those I have left out.

Morego are another tuner of the 2.0 TFSI (200) they have had a good write up in Evo, clicky

They do two conversions a 252bhp and a 272bhp.

I'd be interested in some user reviews of the maps for instance with the standard map I find that there is only a small amount of lag until about 1700rpm then a progessive build up of power until 5500rpm the last 1000rpm seems a little flat. How so some of the maps on offer compare to this?? Personally I'd like a bit more poke at the top of the rev range.

yes, I suppose it was, cant remember exactly.
There was so much more power lower down and gave you much more of a kick.
Stage 2 gives you slightly less of a kick I think, but pushes the power all the way.

So I suppose you could compare the stage 1 to TDi lots of low down grunt then running out of steam at higher revs and the stage 2 to a n/a petrol power spread more evenly through the rev range.

Anybody had an APR remap done, I am quite interested in this one?

(plus I want to put an 'APR TUNED' badge on the boot of my car lol).

Ive just had a read of their site and their map sounds really good with the ability to switch it on and off with it apparantly being undetectable - the price and power increase sounds good aswell!

I think the Apr remap sounds great as well, am considering getting it done at Engine Advantages, I have been quoted a really good price.

APR seems to have a really good reputation, especially in the USA, so cant see any reason why not.

Revo, as some of you know mine is the car they have been using to test the code, all I can say is at the moment it's 316bhp with around 300+ftlb of torque (can't remeber the exact figure). and it is now stupidly fast but very very smooth power delievery. :D

Star Performance got 308bhp out of a Leon Cupra they did and using a GIAC box it can be reverted back to stock without running up the flash counter.

I have a Custom Code print out of before and after a Custom Code remap on a MK2 Leon Cupra (cant remember where or how I got it). Standard the car had 250.4bhp and 223.7ft/lbs. Remapped, the car has a beautiful power increase across the revs to its max and a flat torque curve. Peak power 315.9bhp and torque 273.7ft/lbs.

Yep thats mine just to clarify this is CC phase 1 that i am running not the phase 2 map.
