A place for a Turbo Boost gauge

Guys,

I am planning to install a Turbo Boost gauge, however still did not find a right placement for that. I know that a common location for all gauges is a beam close to a driver, where you can install up to three gauges .... Anyway, it wont work for me, cause my concern is that it will be stolen in a couple of days within irreversible damage to my interior (already heard such story) :(

So , guys - your sophisticated and most creative ideas are more than welcome !:funk:

thanx in advance ...

easiest options are in the drivers a-pillar (nomad racing do these)
or newer is on the steering column behind your wheel (awesome gti do these, in the mk4 golf section)

have seen them out in vents and slick has his where the cup holder is but its alot more work for that

Cup holder, might be interesting - but yes it will require some accurate work indeed .. good idea ... cheers !

Your worried the gauge will be stolen?
There isn't anywhere that you can put it so the driver sees but the public can't!

Agree, but I'm still naive, maybe I can find a place where it will be hidden and used only when I really need to check the boost or something ...

you can get pods that stick to the window and you coulod run the wires up the a pillar and only conect them when you want, but you might be left with a wire or 3 on your dash at the a pillar!

Roof lining, above the wing mirror :)

Mount a surface mount gauge holder upside down and secure it to the lining. Might not be easy to read at a glance, but it would be unique and less obvious from the outside.

no mate, ive just got back from my hols so still not done. just wired it in today. go to flaten a bit more and paint it with mat as the satin is a bit to shiny. then put the rolling bit in the left hand side.

will update the post when done though.

If you're worrying about things of value in your car getting nicked, i'd stop putting them in your car.

Seriously - if someone wants to steal your boost gauge, it won't matter how it's installed will it?

My car's saloon is "things" free, the problem is that such fancy stuff draws some curious persons between 12-16 yrs old, even though they do not know the real purpose for that gauge , what they are aiming to do is - to feel it in their arms .. and maybe sell it later on to guy from nearby garage, thinking that it worth some.
