Plato and Turner have 280 points between them and SEAT Sport UK have 266 points.

Giovanardi and Chilton have 254 points between them and VX Racing have 243 points.

This makes sense, as the teams don't get the additional points awarded for fastest laps, leading the race, etc.

But SEAT have 370 points and Vauxhall have 384.

Do the manufacturer points get allocated as if there are no other cars in the race (i.e. if the SEATs and Vauxhalls come 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th, do they get allocated points as if they were 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th)?

I think it's the same for the Independents aswell.

Say at Oulton Park in race 3 it finishes

1. Jason Plato
2. Darren Turner
3. Fabrizio Giovanardi
4. Colin Turkington

I am sure Turks would get 8pts in the Drivers Championship but 15pts in the Independent Drivers Championship because no other Independent has finished above him.
