.....I would search but the search button is genuinely not working at all!!!!

Can you get the door mouldings primered from SEAT or do you have to buy a normal set, scotch them and prime them yourself?

Cheers guys

You cant get primered ones mate

:( Has anyone painted theres? I know people have. If so, did anyone have problems with the paint falling off after time because you cant get it rubbed down properly, or will it be ok if you do a decent job with scotching it?

i have mines painted but the guy that painted them told me no guarantees with the paint flaking off as the paint doesnt really stick so good because the are using everything to make plastic these days.

Yeh thats what I've heard...... :( Will look crap if the paint starts flaking off. :( I work in a body shop and they've said I can have them painted for free...I may aswell go for it cos they moulding only cost £19 for a set of 4? So thats all it would cost.

if you rub them down properly they will be fine, but i had to spray a plastic primer over the plastic before they were 2pac primed, then paint
been done well over 2 years and no probs!

The guy that painted your then really doesn't have a clue, what does he think bumpers are made from?

The only way they will flake is if they haven't been prepared properly.

depends what kind of plastic the bumper or mouldings etc are made from
there a a few types such a ABS plastic, i know this is what bumpers are made from which is why pain stays to them
