MY08 Cupra

Hello,

I ordered a brand new Leon Cupra recently and I am due to take delivery (hopefully) in the next few weeks.

After seeing the post about the new grill surround for the MY08 Cupra in another thread I have checked with the garage and apparently my car will be the new model year.

Does anyone know what the other changes (if any) are between the MY07 model and the MY08 model?

Cheers

Phil

next to none mate.
i believe theyve done away with anything to do with that disgusting habit - smoking, and the grille surround, and thats it!
and congratulations, what exactly have you ordered?

I ordered it a while back (end of May) but think I fell lucky that it is one the dealer had already ordered, so was already in the queue waiting to be built. It meant I didn't get a choice of options but was the colour I wanted.

It is a Cupra in the Inferni Black with the Convenience Pack and iPod connector as extras. Also getting the protection pack put on by the dealer which is basically the paint and interior protection.

Does the Inferni Black look purple under certains lights?, I think I read somewhere that it does.

Only seen one in the showroom and briefly in the rain...

It'll drive you mad keeping it clean being Black, but they do look special when it's clean and especially when the light hits it.

Have a look in the car detailing section, and look at the washing techniques used by other members, Invest in a good sealant and then wax to protect it. Don't bother with any of the dealers lifeshine stuff, its a waste of time. You really can't beat a good wax and some of your own tlc.. :)

I was an Inferi Black Cupra at Stockport Seat yesterday with the new grill. It suits it more I think.

ZBOYD, does yours have the chrome pack inside?

The dealer rang me this afternoon and said that the car has arrived and for £50.00 extra they can fit the chrome pack inside that he reckons looks class!
