I've got the MyDepots 6000k HIDs in both my main and dipped beam. Had them in for a good few months now, and I'm really chuffed with them!

I find the 6000k is a nice trade off between style and practicality. That said I've wondered whether 4300ks may have been better for the main H1s, as they have a better beam length... but I like the way the 6000ks match! ;)

As dmmsta said earlier, on the back lanes with everything lit up, it's like driving in daylight!

You can see a pic of my 6000k HIDs in action at the bottom of this page:

arnolifi - any chance of showing me your ballasts under your bonnet coz you have the h1's in as well?

How did you fit them? any difficulties getting 4 ballasts under there? messy? any other changes u had to do?

On the Battery side the plastic that covers the back of the lights has enough space to seat both ballasts (I used some clear silicone to stop them from sliding about).

On the drivers side i've got one against the washer bottle, and the other mounted using one of the wing bolts. It's not as tidy as the passenger side, but is the still quite tidy.

The length of the wires does mean that you are a little restricted on location, but there is space there!

I'll post up some pic's when I get home in the morning, and have my camera to hand.

You guys shouldn't moan about the cost, I paid £200 back 2 years ago when I put these on my LCR and they were worth every penny.

Obviously factory lights are always going to be better (well ... legal), wont have a car without them now and still suprised when people spec up a car they dont include them.

CupraMVR - I said the same when I fitted mind, the longest part was cutting the holes! Partly because it's tricky, partly because I'm a fussy git and wanted it spot on

To anybody fitting these or any other HID kit... drop into an MOT station asap and get the alignment checked. It might be fine, but proper alignment can make them better still.

just fitted mine , really easy .
put both ballasts in the space above the radiator so there hidden.
as a fitting tip , dont fit the grommet into the cover so you have more room to keep the cover away from where your trying to fit the bulb and then pull em through when the clips are on .

Good stuff, glad you got them fitted. Good tip too, as it does make it easier if you have some slack to work with!

its not down its above the radiator, theres a big gap over the top of the radiator looking from inside the bay, no pics coz u cant see anything mate, just used some thick d/s tape and stuck em to the slam panel from underneath
