I'm currently looking for an Ibiza Cupra PD160 and just wondered what warranty they had from new as I can't find details on the Seat website (I'm guessing 3yrs/60k). Also what is the servicing schedule on both a time and mileage basis and can they be setup for both fixed and variable servicing or are they fixed servicing only?

I have a new Cupra TDI awaiting pick up on 1st September sat in storage. From the info i have from Seat it seems the first 2 yrs are unlimited mileage warranty and the final 3rd year is a dealer warranty up to 60k miles and it says 'on top' of the first 2 years warranty. Seems a little strange and i'm not convinced as that means you can clock up quite a considerable amount of miles under warranty!! ??

I'm not 100% but I'm sure the warranty is 3yrs/60k miles and the servicing is every 10k miles or a year, which ever comes first. I don't know about the fixed and variable servicing sorry.

I think Seat have messed around through the years.. but on an 05 it is 2 years Seat, 1 year dealers with 10k service or yearly .. which ever comes first. (my car's first owner had done 7k in 18 mths at 46 mpg (mpg is a good check of how the car is driven (and tyres).. use button under stalk to check the stats .. this will also tell you if the ECU's been reset (had to do this to mess with fitting cruise control).. why buy a small diesel and do 5k/year; guess he liked loosing money!

The first 2 years are the pan-European manufacturer warranty, I believe unlimited in mileage.
Then the dealer adds on an extra year, but which is limited to 60k miles.

I don't think Seat have ever offered variable servicing as an option, interval will be fixed at 10k.

These replies are confirming what I suspected that the car I'm looking at has missed some services (annual rather than mileage) so doesn't have FSH and the warranty has been voided.
