My front bumper is getting resprayed next week and Im replacing the bumper strip on the front as well. Now Ive got the part number for the grey one but was wondering for those of you that have replaced them where did you get them from?

Is it just the stealers that sell them or can I get them elsewhere for cheaper?

to save starting another thread do people get their bump strips rubbed down before spraying as theyve got that slightly bumpy surface? my lower back bumper that the exhaust pokes out of has that texture but sprayed and you cant really notice it unless close up.
My bump strips have a couple of scratches and wondered if they would show up if they were just sprayed

I was going to get the black ones til i read this..........

Been to the bodyshop and gave them the part #s for the black bump strips. when they were delivered we found out that the front: 6K0 807 225 D B41 has a square hole like the space for a headlight spray or something [the same hole is in the bumper but gets covered by the normal bumpstrip].
The rear: 6K0 807 425 F B41 hasn't the space for the regplate. This is very wierd cos I thought all rear bumpers were the same [except for the exhaust hole for diesels].

I think it's better to correct.

Cheap enough from the dealer. Don't bother with second hand as the clips tend to worsen with removal. Are you getting grey? I thought only blue ones had grey :p

Grey im after as thats what I have already. Im not colour coding the strips, gonna keep them standard.

I had my grey ones de-textured and sprayed, the rear one is a complete arse to get off tho.

Theyre not on the car yet as its still being worked on, i have no idea what the colour match is like yet, i only went off the paint code so it might be slightly out.

That's weird. I think Seat has probably delivered just a wrong one. The part number for bumper strip without headlight washers is the same as mentioned above. The one with the holes in it is 6K0 807 225 F B41. That's the one I have since all Ibizas that were delivered here are with headlight washers.

But the rear one makes no sense. I have had a black one from new and it's definitely the same one as in the cupra except the colour.
