Ordered a FR 2.0TFSI DSG MY08

Hi, i live in Sweden and are new at this forum. I´ve just ordered a DSG-Leon a month ago.
I have a question regarding updates on the MY2008 Leon.

Have anyone perhaps heard any rumours about any updates on MY08 Leon?

Hope not only just picked up my Cupra. I was told that the front grille surround is changing from Chrome to shiney black as per the exterior mirrors and that's all, I hope!

i asked the same question a couple of weeks ago and the only new info i found out was that the MY08 FR had the side badges (TFSi/TDi) removed, honestly i could have done that myself

great spec btw, might be ordering a DSG FR myself this week (fingers crossed), in red albeit less toys

Not sure SEAT know what they are doing as my new Cupra has the new Gear Stick but the chrome grille surround perhaps they are running the stock out and finished the Gear Sticks first

What's the difference with the Gear Stick Dave?

Wasn't aware there's been a change to the 'gear stick' - can't remember the demo cars being any different (but I haven't sat in them for months).

The inflation kit has gone and the car now has a full sized skinny steel spare, but that has been the case for a while I believe.

The only other change that I'm aware of is the deletion of the 'smokers pack'

That is:
- No cup style ashtray
- The cigarette lighter has been dropped in favour of a 12V accessory power point
with hinged cover

im assuming that tommy-cupra and island cupra are both talking about the cupra model only right, with the reference tot heblack grill and gear stick.

yeah dave, whats the difference? ive had another look at your pics but think the excitement must have got the better of you as the one of your knob is a bit blurry.

changes are only for cupra, my car should be MY2008, but I have normal grill, I heard that 2008 doesnt have red stitching on the gear knob

Ok guys, so the "info" we have at the moment about Leon MY08 is:

FR: No TFSI-badges, new gearknob for the MT
Cupra: Black grill, no TFSi- badges, new gearknob for the MT


Well that´s not much fun for the FR.
I was hoping perhaps 10-20 more HP and som other cool tech-stuff.

I drove a DSG FR yesterday and i was a load of fun. I´ve driven the MT before and i did´nt like it very much actually, i´m a DSG-oholic i guess

Here in Sweden we really need heated seats, and you can´t get that in the Cupra, so that car is not an option here for many.

(Mine will hopefully arive in late august.)

I will try and get a photo the dealer told me that the Gear Stick in my Cupra is different to the one in their showroom
