hi guys,

just wondered what MPG you all get from your cars??

wanted to see how all the different models compare from actual usage and not just the official figures!

cheers

yup somthink like that unitzero! and sometimes holding it just abouve 4 k to get up hills as the next gear it would just die lol, i tried not to go to 5k but i did once or twice, the torque band ends around 4's, have u got a k&n or anyother mods like it? i have one for sale if not ;)

Really trying not to mod it at all as i need a bigger car in the near future.
see my other thread :http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=129675
Once i get a bigger car with a bigger engine i'll start with the coilovers and panel filters perhaps even a remap :funk:

Even though i just do short journeys mostly i still reckon i'm going TDI as the fuel economy must be better than mine! Plus there is the torque and overtaking power of the diesel.

The Ibiza sport was the best spec i could get brand new but after looking at the depreciation and the fuel consumption i'm going second hand and Diesel next time!

I drive mainly on A-roads and motorways and commute 520 miles/week. In the winter I was getting around 55mpg, but it was beginning to creep up to an average of about 59mpg as the weather got warmer.

Changed my tyres a couple of weeks ago (Marangoni Zeta Linea's) and it seems to have droped a bit; probably a bit higher rolling resistance.

130 Sport, by the way.

Ibiza 130 (not - shhh!) sport, averaging anything from 40-56mpg, 300-470 miles per tank.

Last tank was worked out at 55mpg, m-way, A roads and town work.

02 plate 130 Sport

Rarely drops below 40mpg unless sustained use at more than 100mph

But was real struggle to get past 50mpg
Now in summer if I don't exceed 68 mph I can get high 50s mpg
Was a surprise to discover that i get better fuel consumption in summer
