Adjustable Mirrors

Phoned my dealer this morning as I thought I had a fault with my new FR. When adjusting the electric mirrors using the joystick in either the L or R position, I found that when in the L position, only the left mirror moves (as you would expect). But when moving it to the R position, both mirrors move.

What is the point of having left and right if the right one moves both mirrors? It means you have to get the right one where you want it and then remember to adjust the left one!

I am a bit bemused as to why this is standard!

I presume this is standard?......

Before anyone says anything, no, I haven't read the manual!!

It's standard I'm guessing as it's the same on the MkI Leon too.

Its a feature to help you park easier as far as i know. I find it useful.

I'm sure you can change to single movement if you have the larger MFD display.

Paul sold me a brand new red LCR four years ago!

I'm back in there 8.30 on Saturday morning - bit of a trek from Bury St Edmunds and no lie in though! Paul pointed out to me some minor (and I mean minor) alloy damage when i collected the car last week. He had already ordered me a replacement alloy which i thought was very good. Now having the alloy changed saturday morning. Some dealers would have just hoped I didn't spot it until i got home, and then claimed I had damaged it. Can't praise the service highly enough.

I also purchased my leon Cupra Mk1 from them back in 2004..........looks like they look after 'regular' or repeat customers very well.

Setup here is that you adjust the right side as you want it. Flick to the left and adjust to your preference.

When flicked onto the right side, both mirrors will move in unison and allow you to see down both sides of the car.

When flicked to the left, only the left is adjusted.

Can be set in the MFD menu to be individual control depending on switch position or the way you guys have it at the moment.

This is a design, that is most useful. When you get in,for the first time you set the right hand mirror to your preference, then set the left. (as above really - Doh!) should read all the messages!

Now when your Mrs gets in, all she needs to do is adjust the right hand mirror and they will both adjust in the same sense, and all you need to do when you get back in, is adjust the right hand mirror back to the position it was in prior to the longer haired Sgt Major getting in, and bingo, one adjustment, and both mirrors are sorted!
