Keep getting little surprises, like the wipers stopping when you the car becomes stationary..

Well when you turn the car off and leave the key in the ignition, with your indicatior on the rear light and side light comes on on the side of the indicator. I guess its a good thing if your are parked somewhere and dont want to put your hazard lights on?!?

What irritates me about my FR though is the way the indicator stays on for a few bleeps when you push it up or down slightly, yes its handy sometimes. But in my old car my way of acknowledging friends on the road was a flick up and down of the indicator, now when i do it, it flashes continuously as if ive left the indicator on. Minor issue, but anyway of disabling this?

Also, another mini rant lol..

I do quite a few miles with work, and it feels natural for me to rest my right arm on the door sill. however this is really hard plastic, and hurts my elbows. lets face it we dont keep two arms on the wheel always. Makes the driving position feel really artificial..

another one is when you have the wipers on continually and go over 80mph they stop at the bottom for a second before coming back up again.

Do you guys have driving lights as part of the auto lights?

Drive over 140kmph for 30seconds or so and the headlights come on, dont switch off until you have been doing under 60 or so for a minute.

The side light parking has been on most cars for about 10-15 years, the indicator option can be turned off in the car menu screen

Moley RUFC, do you know which bit specifically? Is that comfort indicators? or whatever it's called.

I DO like the feature, but as MichaelB said it's annoying when you're trying to say thank you. The guy behind must think you're the most indecisive prat in the world :)

Answer to let you sleep at night guys!!

Use your hand or hazard lights to thank people.

Same for me as well.

Using your indicators (even if they work as you would like them to) you do indeed look like a pratt lol Just looks like your fumbling around with your indicators...

No you don't :p It's what lorry drivers do, so if you do it too it makes you look cool. Unless you have the 3 flash indicators on, then you just look like a gimp.

Anyway, hazards can confuse people or make them think there's a hazard, or make them NOT think there's a hazard when there really is one. And lots of the time you can't see a hand wave. Unless you open the window and stick your hand out, but then a motorcyclist could bite it off, it would get cold/wet, and if you have the wetwindows problem you'd end up with water in the car.

I don't know what I was thinking when I started to write this post, honest :)

The lights staying on on one side if you stop when indicating or whatever is a German thing.. Porsche have been doing it for a while.

Since when has doing things like a lorry driver been cool?

In that case, my beer belly must be getting cooler by the day! ;)

Best bet is to just pull out on people, cause a huge pile up THEN put your hazards on

p.s. Yes its comfort option in menu to turn the 3 indicators bits off

lol, I was wondering why it did that sometimes, thought it was just being inconsistent.. guess its because of a particular speed.. :banned: :p

With regards to disabling options, im going to have a mess with the MFD now..

I think the idea of them is for overtaking on motorways etc as 3 flashes is often enough and its actually quite nice having them and I have them on both the Leon and Touran. In fact both cars have very similar features, like opening and closing windows with the key etc. VAG group....'COOL'

Also, if you brake hard enough the hazard lights come on for a short time. But this might be common knowledge already.
